Here is your problem as I see it.
You didn't follow the directions.
IF you spent one hour straight activating material, than you didn't follow the directions.
If you spent 2 hours straight previewing, photo reading, reviewing, and activating, you didn't follow the directions.
If you got yourself so stressed out and uptight about whether or not the system worked properly, you didn’t follow the directions.
Recall the following essentials of photo reading. First, state your specific purpose for reading. If that means reading the questions you've been assigned to answer, than so be it. The most that should take you time wise is about 2 minutes.
Second, Preview to get the structure of the book or passage you have to read. At the MOST this takes 3 minutes. Total time 5 minutes.
Third, relax. Really relax. Don't kid yourself into saying "I'm relaxed" if you are not relaxed. This is probably one of your problems (it is self evident from your post). This can take anywhere from 30 seconds to 15 minutes, depending on your experience. We'll assume that it takes 10 minutes for you. Your total time spent now is 15 minutes (actually it should be much less, but lets be conservative).
Fourth, Photoread. One second per page at the MOST. 200 pages=200 seconds or between 3-4 minutes. I have no idea how long your selection is to read, but I'll just say it's 240 pages, so it should take you exactly 4 minutes. Total time 19 minutes
Fifth, TAKE A 20 MINUTE BREAK (if not longer). The mind needs time to rest and process the information. If you didn't take this break, or don't think you need to, return the course and get your money back.
Sixth, ACTIVATE based on your purpose. For you, this should have been easy. You had to answer questions. Read the questions to refresh your purpose, and then super-read and dip to find the answers.
If you are relaxed and sincere, you will find the answers or you will begin to find the answers. It should take you no longer than 20 minutes for this activation session. If you can answer the questions, than you are done. If you can't RELAX, take a 15 minute break or so, and do it again.
For a purpose like yours and for a beginner like you it should take you about 2 sessions of activating 40 minutes total time of activation (using whatever techniques you choose) to answer the questions. Total time actively engaged in the process 59 minutes. Add the time for breaks, 94 minutes, or an hour and a half.
