alright, at this time i am pretty angry. I have spent 220 bucks on this and a lot of my time. I photoread, follow all directions, but I CANNOT i repeat CANNOT activate anything. The only thing that i remember is what I "superRead" and "previewed".

What is going on? why can't i activate?

The impression that I get is that you have to photoread 5 to 10 books a day for several weeks and do the 5 steps for each book. Let all 5 steps become second nature to you. In a few weeks your seeminingly stubborn mind will begin to have the belief that it read this book before when you just photoread it yesterday or 20 minutes ago. It will seem familar to you like you read the whole book recently. The mind has to be trained and that can take time. Doing the 5 steps over and over will make it very familar to you. Remember the PhotoReading course promises that you can get through a book 3 times faster than a normal person; maybe in a year you will be 10 times faster than a normal person and in several years you will be like Paul Scheele and Pete Bissonette.

I don't read much, so when I began speed reading, it took a year to go from 300 wpm to 700 wpm. If I had practiced on 5 to 10 books a day then that one year could have been reduced to a few weeks. Time and practice is the key. Just for now let the 5 steps become second nature to you. Using the five steps of every speed reading course and the photoreading course, I just studied 119 pages of a textbook in one hour. I think that is great. If you want to read more of my stuff just do a search on my user name.

Keep going. You're not half as angry as I was and I only had the $17 book at the time. The more ticked you are the better the pendulum will swing the other way when you start getting results.

Kisa1984,

Let's take a look at how you are doing the system. We'll help you get it working!

First, did you complete all 8 tapes of your homestudy? If yes...

How much time did you spend activating the book of your own on tape 7?

In each 30-minute activation session, did you begin with several Mind Probing questions with the trigger words you wrote down during the 8-minute Preview?

The faster you're willing to let go of old reading habits the sooner it will start to work for you. It's like learning to type. It's so awkward at first and the old "hunt and peck" way of typing seems faster than the real way but as soon as you get it down you'll type a hundred times faster than the way you were doing it before.

well, i spent an hour activating my book of choice on tape 7. when i was finished, i had a humongous headache. I did all the trigger words and mind probing questions. After i did activation, i tried to answer multiple questions that were given to me for that book, and I got almost all quesitons wrong, it felt like i was simply guessing the answers. The book never gelled. And now i have to reread it because the questions are due tomorrow and i spent 2 hrs wasting my time on previewing, photoreading, and activating when I would have been half way done with the book regular reading it. THE PHOTOREADING SYSTEM IS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY, I AM SORRY I EVER BOUGHT IT, and now I cannot return it because I wrote in the books. Paul Sheele is anal !!

Kisa, Do you think P.R really sucks? I'm finishing my last semester at Florida International University and I was planning to sturdy the program. I don't think it will be a wise idea to dedicate time to sturdy the books and tapes when I can sturdy for one of my 4 classes instead. Even if I knew the process I wouldn't jeopardies a grade to test the system. Since my major is in accounting, I will have to sturdy for the cpa exam. I think then will be a good time to sturdy the system. Also, If anyone can answer. Does the system really work? If it works, how come is not popular in the scholar community? This system has been around for many years and is not as popular as it should be If you consider the wonderful results it promises.
Kisa, If you have any luck with the system let me know. I don't want to waste my time....Time is money when you are 26.

Here is your problem as I see it.

You didn't follow the directions.

IF you spent one hour straight activating material, than you didn't follow the directions.

If you spent 2 hours straight previewing, photo reading, reviewing, and activating, you didn't follow the directions.

If you got yourself so stressed out and uptight about whether or not the system worked properly, you didn’t follow the directions.

Recall the following essentials of photo reading. First, state your specific purpose for reading. If that means reading the questions you've been assigned to answer, than so be it. The most that should take you time wise is about 2 minutes.

Second, Preview to get the structure of the book or passage you have to read. At the MOST this takes 3 minutes. Total time 5 minutes.

Third, relax. Really relax. Don't kid yourself into saying "I'm relaxed" if you are not relaxed. This is probably one of your problems (it is self evident from your post). This can take anywhere from 30 seconds to 15 minutes, depending on your experience. We'll assume that it takes 10 minutes for you. Your total time spent now is 15 minutes (actually it should be much less, but lets be conservative).

Fourth, Photoread. One second per page at the MOST. 200 pages=200 seconds or between 3-4 minutes. I have no idea how long your selection is to read, but I'll just say it's 240 pages, so it should take you exactly 4 minutes. Total time 19 minutes

Fifth, TAKE A 20 MINUTE BREAK (if not longer). The mind needs time to rest and process the information. If you didn't take this break, or don't think you need to, return the course and get your money back.

Sixth, ACTIVATE based on your purpose. For you, this should have been easy. You had to answer questions. Read the questions to refresh your purpose, and then super-read and dip to find the answers.

If you are relaxed and sincere, you will find the answers or you will begin to find the answers. It should take you no longer than 20 minutes for this activation session. If you can answer the questions, than you are done. If you can't RELAX, take a 15 minute break or so, and do it again.

For a purpose like yours and for a beginner like you it should take you about 2 sessions of activating 40 minutes total time of activation (using whatever techniques you choose) to answer the questions. Total time actively engaged in the process 59 minutes. Add the time for breaks, 94 minutes, or an hour and a half.
