Can't seem to super read, and when I skitter I just regular read. Reading 90-95% technical books for certifications. Super reading is just a blur of paragraphs and when I dip I regular read with very little recall.
Please help!!!

i'm going anonymous again for particular reason at all (i figured i made the handle, might as well use it)

if you're having problems activating, it could be the photoreading step. do you remember the affirmations? are you using a paraliminal tape, or just have the book?

what's bothering me is that when you're dipping and regular reading, you're having very little recall. are you really focused? sometimes when i used to read my eyes would pick up the words, but i realized i wasn't paying enough attention and even though i looked at the words, i didn't really read it.

also, make sure you make a couple passes through the material...that's the whole point

No I'm not always saying the affirmations. The focus has been harder to keep after I failed my first exam when I thought I had an idea of what I was doing.

No I don't use the tape anymore either. Thats time I felt being wasted. Am I wrong?

Note: I brought the the homestudy version from the infomercial.

I really need this to work I have 10-14 technical books to go thru and know.

would like to finish them all by years end.

There you go!!!!. You are guilty of not following instructions. You must follow all the steps to the letter, plus you must learn how to RELAX. By place soooo much upon yourself, that's why I personally recommend that an individual learn the system without having the undue stress of a deadline or get well date or "I gotta get this to work before test time". I personally would learn the system and take as much time needed to get the system working and know it works and continue studying class material the normal way. Then once I know without a shadow of a doubt, I would then implement it towards my studies. But not until!!!!!!!. The key I think is the ability to RELAX.. I have found that the harder I try to remember something, the more it eludes me. But the minute I relax and reach alpha, and don't conciously think about what I'm trying to remember, the answer bubbles to the surface. I find here on this forum recently that a lot of problems stem from not getting into the relaxed state.

another thing, "GET BACK ON THE TAPES"!!!!!
You felt that they were a waste of time, Look at all the time you've wasted by not following the steps correctly. I've never seen the infomercial and I have the same course as you. Please use the following tapes: Personal Genius, Memory Supercharger and Photoreading Activator.

mrkajenkins,

Allenhm is quite right. The pressure of time works against you. This is an endeavor that requires a relaxed approach. They're asking you to pay attention to inner signals. If you try to do it in less than relaxed state, the chances are extremely high that you'll miss the signals because of all the other "noise" going on (the thoughts about what you could be doing right now, the doubts, the wondering if you should have said this instead of that to your boss....). I started out the same way and didn't see results until I relaxed and gave myself permission to screw it up.

BTW, Amazon now lets you see pages from some of the books they offer. Here's a page from a book on intuition that discusses what types of signals you might get. I think pages 12 & 13 (of the 20 pages that can be displayed for this book) also discussed intuitive signals. Whether you accept her New Age take on things or not, there is still some validity to how we get signals from our inner mind.

I got an email from [censored to protect the innocent] asking me some questions about PR and he said that he was only doing a few of the steps and not the other ones then he went on to ask more questions. There's nothing wrong with "tweaking" the system after you get good at doing it but he was having trouble right off the bat and I told him if he changed or skipped steps then it becomes something other than "Photoreading." There are other "subliminal" type reading programs and techniques and by changing things up front you may turn PR into something that doesn't work.

At first I skipped the trigger word step and the mind probes and I did OK but nothing like when I added them, as "boring" as seemed at first. Every step is designed to get you reading actively. I do skip steps now but it's usually because of the material I'm reading, not because I don't like the steps. You can't change things to fit the situation until you are good at using all the steps in the first place.

Also the goal of having a book "gel" may be a hinderance. Forget it. Instead remember a time when you "got" a joke that previously you didn't "get." That's what gelling is like. It's not a HUGE awakening, it's more like you saying "Alright, I got the point." It's subtle.
