Greetings everyone..

I noticed something interesting about the photofocus state the other day while sitting arround playing arround with going in and out of photofocus to see what happens. Interestingly i realized that what we call the photofocus state is exactly what people under the influence of LSD are in when they are "tripping".
I did experiment with the substance a while back and found it a very interesting experience. Some explain it as taking a tour of your subconsious mind, which brings me to the point of using your subconcious mind while photoreading. At that time i had no knowledge about photoreading nor was I too interested in learning that much, im happy to say that things have changed and now i'm more interested in learning then i have been all my life.
so back to my point about the subconcoius.. I have read a few articles about the use of psychedelics in reasearch to experiment with different states of conciousness and cognition. I would like to ask if any of you have had experiences with psychedelics and photoreading..
anyone know of any current research being done in this field. the ones i have read about were being conducted in the mid 90's and i havent been able to find any follow ups on them since. if anyone is interested in reading it, i think i still have the URL somewhere.

Funny thing. I actually was thinking about this a bit back.

I also in my younger years, tried "experimenting" but with another natural substance which I did not know of, nor have heard of since. I hate to make this a "drug" topic more, but it was called, "pods" from what I know.

Anywho, they made my eyesight doubled, and I often remembered of it as the "floating sausage eyes," as I knew of the "coctail weenie" effect for quite a while, just known as the previous name. It seemed to diverge my eyes, as to make it hard to read. It did involve mild hallucination.

But it just brings to mind, that maybe these people are using harmful chemicals to "trip" when maybe with a little practice and learning they could do it with out using chemicals.

Although, I've thought this for quite awhile. My intentions after learning what the GOOD is, not the using for harmful stuff, I am only consuming my life with PR'ing BOOKs and not my life. =)

Kinda strange.

I admit I've tried regular reading while on-the-leafy-substance. I read a book from the Lord of the Rings, and must say, the battle scene in my head was awesome, and I'm POSITIVE the movie won't live up to it.

I was going to read while on DXM once (what you find in cough suppressents) but that stuff just makes you think amazingly, but lazy as hell.

I remember once writing things down while on it... it was the hardest thing I've done in a long time. LOL.

A while back i noticed that while under the influence of marijuana, i would have great insight to books that i had recently photoread. This was always a source of spontaneous activation. Yet i don't recommend it as afterwards it slooooooows everything down.

Most of the "ideas" you write down when your drunk (or baked, not that I would know, yeah) aren't so cool the next day.

Read "Rime of the Ancient Mariner" by Sam Coleridge and then read the lyrics of the Iron Maiden song of the same title. The song makes sense and the poem is like "what, who? Albatros? Boat with no women? Eeeew."
Probably because the song was thought out and the poem was written while "On the influence of Drugs, ladies and gentlemen."

Yeah but the song sounds cool if you have the 17 minutes of spare time to listen to it (crazy 80's ballads).

"Water, water, everywhere, and all the boards did shrink.
Water, water, everywhere and not a drop to drink."

Iron Maiden version:

"Wateh, wateh, everywheh, and awl the boahds did shrrink.
Wateh, wateh, everywheh, and nuh a drawp to drrrink."
