I've already ordered the home course, but I didn't received it yet. This because I'm from Holland. I've buy the book and in the book they explain the steps.
Do you think as I follow the steps I can become familiar with the techniques. I have an exam friday of 1 chapter and I want to to apply photoreading on this chapter to try it. Should this help?

Putting a time constraint of two days on yourself is not the best idea, especially since it ends in a test.

I would recommend studying your chapter the way you normally would, then experimenting with PRing after you finish. This way, you can still try out PRing on the type of material you use, but you won't have problems not getting it right and risking a poor grade.

PRing has to be approached in a relaxed, open-minded manner. An impeding test may make you anxious, and if you don't do well on it you'll develop reservations on the system.

Ramon is correct. You're setting yourself up for an ugly and seriously disappointing experience if you attempt to do this. Photoreading succeeds when you are relaxed and when the stakes are low. Pressure is not your friend when trying to learn this process. The story may be different once you are comfortable and successful with the process, but this is no way to put the system to the test. You might decide to Photoread the text in addition to your normal studying but don't make it your sole source of learning in this situation.

This is severely off-topic, but did you ever see that Simpson's episode where Dr. Nick goes, "Hey, it's my old friend, Mr. McGreg, with a leg for an arm, and an arm for a leg!" I just had to mention it, because whenever I see your name, it makes me think of it.

No sir. Can't recall the last Simpson's episode I saw. With kids, I do see the occasional Sponge Bob, but that's about it...

Is that an episode I might find on KaZaA?

Possibly...I don't know the title of the episode, but it's the one where homer has a heart attack and Dr. Nick operates on him with clever quips such as:

While operating - "The round thing's connected to the blue thing, the blue thing's connected to the red thing, the red thing's connected to my, wrist watch....uh-oh."

Last words Homer hears before passing out from anesthesia (from Homer's perspective)- (Dr. Nick looking down at his chest) "What the hell is that?"
