I've been practicing pr'ing for two months now and have not seen any results. I do not feel my comprehension of books that I have pr'd is no better than if I "slow read" the books. I do not see a "blip" page unless I cross my eyes - very uncomfortable! I have searched this site for tips on the blip page and still have no success with it. I can see an X through the page and the four corners while pr'ing. The books are not familiar when I super read and dip.

Any suggestions/comments are greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your post. We can help!

We'll tell you what techniques you may be missing, and ways to get the results you bought the program for in the first place.

As what Paul would say "Don't beat yourself up." Photo reading is a skill to realize not a skill to acquire through hard work and tension. Remember also that Super reading and MInd Probe is a big part of the activation technique that you need to give importance to. Before reading ask yourself questions about what would you like from this book. Look at the table of contents and ask questions about them...This is what I usually do when I super read...Ask questions and get to the relevant info...On your question about the photofocus state, it is much better if you don't give yourself an expectation to succeed because that mainly interferes with our ability to learn. Be playful with it...Consider it as something more of a hobby with which there is no work (struggle) involved. It will be much more relaxing than struggling and frustrating yourself, telling yourself you should bureaucratically follow the steps in order for you to succeed. Forget about the steps! Be a kid again, get in touch with your curiousity and let that be your sole motivator...not getting it right bang on the first time...

Dana,

Thanks for your quick response. My pr sessions involve following tape 7 side a through the complete process of pr'ing. My activation involves asking questions based on my keywords, going through the relaxation steps getting into the ideal state and super reading and dipping through the book. When I am finished I look at the keywords again. What I find is that I have no more recollection of their meaning or relation to the book than before I opened the book.

Phi,

Thanks for the reply. Admittedly I am having trouble keeping an open mind and not expecting immediate results. Trying without trying is a foreign concept to me and adds to the frustration.

How much time are you spending in your Activaiton sessions? Typically, you want to spend about 30 minutes and pace yourself to get through your book cover-to-cover.

Also, are you putting a set of branches on your Mind Map after each activation pass?

I think my activation lasts for 15-20 minutes but I'm not 100% certain.

I have not placed a great deal of emphasis on mind mapping the books. Probably a lack of understanding as to the benefits of doing this.

Here are a couple tips to boost the results from your Activation sessions:

- write down all and any key words and phases during your 8-minute Preview of your book, cover-to-cover.

- use the closing affirmations on page 51 of the PhotoReading book.

- begin each activation session with Mind Probing questions, crafted with the key words and phrases you wrote down during Preview.

- activate in 30-minute sessions, and pace yourself to get through your book cover-to-cover in that timespan.

- at the end of each session, add a set of branches to your Mind Map.

Once you get the structure of the whole book, then you can shift into Rapid Reading to go back and gather all the specific detail you want to complete your comprehension level.
