on Tape 3 in the discussion about divergence there is a reference made to the optical puzzle in the Manual. What confused me is that all of the discussion on the tape is about postplane divergence (i.e. looking "past" what you are seeing) but that little puzzle in the manual is a preplane divergence puzzle.

Which are we supposed to use?

Any input is greatly appreciated.......

I can't continue with confidence until I get this cleared up.

Thanks in advance

The puzzle in the manual is a postplane. You can look at it either way, but we are definitely going for postplane...looking with a divergent gaze as if to look beyond the plane of the written materials, but bringing the focal plane to the level of the materials.
