I'm finding in a 30-minute activation session I can photoread the book and skitter/dip one chapter of about 30 pages. I think the reason it is so slow is because when I find something interesting, I think about it. Should I instead use my concious mind to not think about what I'm currently reading but to think about what to look for ahead?

Thanks,
---Chris

ChrisMC2005,

You're 'interest' in the book is something to take note of. Interest or desire is a driving force to learning.

Your 'thinking about it' is anther indication that you are helping to anchor the information for later use. Thinking about it as you say is a great way to turn facts into knowledge.

Knowledge is something you can turn around with and improve many aspects of your life!

You're on the right path!

But should I continue super reading & dipping/skittering while I think about what I just read, or should I stop to think, reread, etc? I thought that the course taught that the point was to "move on" and not spend too much time with one sentence or paragraph.

Listen internally to your body and mind.

There is a reason why you are 'thinking about it' and you should follow what best feels right to you. Those reasons are only known by you.

Remember that activation is not necessarily a one pass thing. Activation in multiple passes is what really builds comprehension.

You'll find with each successive pass, that the material will become second nature and as you make each pass, the passes will become shorter and shorter as you filter out what you already know.

Try this out. Stick to one chapter tonight. Now Keep your activation session to less than 30 minutes. Now, Skitter/Dip/Superread,Rapid read, whatever you feel like doing. But Activate the same chapter a few times (like lets say 5 or more times) but still adhering to the time limit.

Watch and feel what happens. This is what is meant by learning in layers and it is one of the fastest way's of proving just how learning takes place so quickly and how one begins to build comprehension.

You'll also find that your thinking about it will diminish as you start to anchor information into the mind.

One does not question what one knows!
