I know that this is off topic but I had no idea where else to post this query.

Has anyone out there experienced that odd "Predetermined Autonomous Sleep Termination" thing (to coin a rather pretentious phrase). All I mean is where you think to yourself that you wish to wake at a paticular time and oddly enough you wake at that time - by the way I'm not talking about waking at the same time everyday due to a sleep pattern.
I noticed this ability in myself quite a time ago but in recent years I have lost all discipline so when I wake at my desired time I simply roll over and go back to sleep.

"Predetermined Autonomous Sleep Termination"? Who thought up that name? Well anyway it happens to me a lot and has been for years. I've found that when I was younger, if I had to be up at 4 AM to catch a flight, I'd set my alarm for 4 but actually wake up at 3:55. I'd simply turn off the alarm (before it sounded) and head to the shower. Now that I'm older in the same scenario, when I awaket at 3:55, I'm ****ed that I could've had 5 more minutes of sleep . Anyway, it happens to me all the time, just never knew there was such a fancy name for it.

Hell, someone might call it a "psychic wake-up-call".
When you tell yourself bad enough you want to wake up at a certain time, you're going to. Your Higher Self wakes you up at the right time.
Or your subconscious mind feeds information from outside (ticking of clocks, passing of time) to you and wakes you up at the appropriate time.

Either that or you're a bunch of hippie freakes. There I said it.

PS. for your psychic wake-up-call check out William Hewitts book Psychic Development for Beginners
