I cannot figure out how to flip pages during the photoreading step. I tried following instructions on the tapes, but it's hard to do for small books, and almost impossible for larger books. Also, in some books there's a lot of friction between the pages, and I would flip 10 pages at a time, which is really frustrating, and makes me lose my concentration.
Could you please tell me about some of the techniques that you use for flipping pages? Thanks.

Hi, Yes this morning. I tried photoreading my Bible. It has very thin pages and they were very hard to turn. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks
KM

If you're having difficulty turning pages, simply slow down and maintain a rhythm.

As long as you maintain the "soft gaze" and a steady rhythm, you'll imprint all the patterns of text into your "inner mind" at a page per second.

I've noticed personally, when PhotoReading something with high emotional content, a chapter or two can become difficult to turn the pages. This happened to me the last time I PhotoRed my bible. The pages in both books of Proverbs were very difficult to turn. Then, all the sudden, the pages became alot easier to turn.

When I first started, I got all kinds of frustrated at turning the pages during the photoreading step. I was so conscious od 2 seconds, flip. Each time pages stuck together, I was loose focus. What helped me is not caring how long it took to flip the page. I stayed much more relaxed. If it took ten seconds to flip a page because they stuck together, so be it. If they stuck together, and I flipped more than one page at a time, oh well I'll get that missed page on the second pass.

Thanks for all the replies. I've decided that I am not going to follow the instructions for flipping pages in the manual. They are too confusing, unless someone can show you exactly how to do it, or explain it in more detail. I am going to experiment with different techniques to see what works best. I am also going to follow Michaelbe's advice, and take it slow if it becomes hard to turn the pages.

The only thing is, some pages in a book are harder to turn than others. They will always stick together when you try to turn them. Therefore I am not sure about this concept of letting go and hoping to get it right on the second try. Chances are it's going to be the same pages 'glued together' again. Any thoughts or experiences about that?
