PAGE TURNING DILEMMA: USING THE AT HOME COURSE, FOLLOWING PAULS TAPES WITHOUT SEEING IT IN ACTION, I FIND IT DIFFICULT TO MAINTAIN THE BLIP OR EVEN THE IMAGINARY "X" ON THE PAGE WHEN I TURN THE PAGE, MY HAND PEELS DOWN THE RIGHT HAND PAGE BUT HAS TO CROSS OVER THE CREASE TO ALLOW THE THUMB TO GRAB IT, WALK ON IT, AND PLACE IT DOWN...THE CROSSOVER COMPLETELY RUINS MY CONCENTRATION OF THE BLIP IMAGE OR EVEN THE X IMAGE....HELP?

This is perfectly normal. This is proof that your mind/body are adjusting to the technique.

This I promise you ... it will and does get better with time.

You know the saying "Practice makes perfect".

I know how you feel. I have the same problem. i wounder if you have fixed your problem and if you are will to help me.

Don't worry about your hand covering the text momentarily you still see the text. Also feel free to modify it to suit you. You'll get used to holding the focus while turning the pages. The idea is let it go and be ok with it.

Some of us even practiced just turning the pages on a variety of books... not worried about photofocus just turning pages to get the knack of turning pages and maintaining a steady pace. Once we can maintain a steady pace it becomes easier to maintain photofocus. It doesn't really matter how you turn the page... smaller paperbacks often get flipped a couple of times cause their pages are even more difficult to turn. Some have those rubber thimbles to help them with turning pages. The easiest way to find out what works for you is experiment.

Use one of those pocket sized fans to help in turning the pages. lol I love those things!
