i seem to have a curse that whenever i try to practice photoreading or one of the exercises that i always have a persistent *ItCh* that wont go away... i cant concentrate and whenever i scratch i lose the state... hmm maybe i have fleas or somethin. well anyways, also im wondering how to be able to turn the pages more easily, i tried losening the spine but some books just wont loosen up. and then when im page turning i cant get the pages apart and get frustrated. one last question, what is the best way to absorb MOST of the information from a book, about the same or better comprehension as regular reading. how many times through, how much time spent, upside down or what?
im new to photoreading, got it for christmas and havent gotten past tape 5 without losing confidence and starting over. need help...

Where does this itch occur?

I would recommend keeping a fan blowing gently, possibly on its lowest setting close to you, and facing you. Also, try drinking plenty of water, and when getting into the state:are your shoulders tense?

Thanks for answering those questions. (In advance.)

hey i think most of my problem is that i do everything in my room, and my room is not very clean. i also should probably turn on the fan higher... i think i need to turn my room upside down and rearrange everything to get a better place to sit and photoread, right now im uncomfortable. hmm... ive been told many times i need more water, but this time i think i want to follow up on that. i really want photoreading to work for me. i guess health and hydration would help me relax deeper. if i have any problems after this, ill be sure to ask. mainly the itch is in the feet or back, and i need a better chair to sit in, mine is not good for relaxing unless i slouch. thanks for the help

An itch in the back may be associated with allergies. Do you suffer from seasonal allergies?

nope i've never had alergies, just bad itching all over whenever i sit down to learn photoreading. im going to try it in a different room, because i know that when im watching TV or on the computer i never itch. hopefully when i clean up and rearrange my room i wont have any problems. also, i just checked how far i've been and i see that i never got past tape 4. i doubted that i had photoread correctly and never activated the book. im using the personal learning course by the way... sometimes itching bothers me during the memory supercharger but i try to ignore it and sometimes it works. i should probably go ahead and read through the photoreading book because i know some of you have learned by just reading the book, so ill read through with the 25, +30, and +90 then ill read the whole book maybe. i love the inspirational stories at the end of each chapter, it just keeps me going and helps me beleive it will work for me. and now that i found these forums, i can find a solution to whatever problems i encounter.

If you've listened to tape up to tape 4 a few times ... keep going, start tape 5 don't backtrack... once you've been through the tapes once you'll see the whole picture so to speak and it all starts falling into place. With the earlier tapes you don't really know if you're learning it or not and for most people it feels like not. The idea is to press on and then practice doing all the steps.

Good luck
Alex
