I just received the home study course on Monday. I finished tape 1B yesterday. The first night I tried the dictionary game, nothing came to me.

Yesterday night, I tried it again, but it was strange. I saw images and positions of words that weren't even listed in the webster's dictionary!

What am I supposed to make of this?

Also, I think I need to try these tapes in the morning or afternoon, because I usually do them around midnight to 2AM, and afterwards I find that I am very very tired. Problem is I have a really long work day, and I find most of my spare time around those hours. Maybe I'll do the set on a weekend instead.

I tried listening to the memory supercharger last night. I was awake for a while, and then I found myself just waking up as the tape was about to end and Paul's voice was coming to a close. Is that normal? When should I start to state my purposes, if I keep falling asleep after he talks?

Also, going through tape 1B and the photoreading step, Paul's relaxation techniques calmed me down, but also made my eyes pretty drowsy.

I don't think that's supposed to happen. I don't find myself completely awake or consciously awake and energized when doing the step.

Any comments or suggestions?

Thanks.

Paul Scheele says to go find one of your own dictionaries you've read in the past and look up the placement of the word. Most likely, your inner mind gave you a snapshot of a page from one of your other dictionaries. Cool, huh?

You get the same benefit, as long as you set your intention to receive full benefit regardless of falling asleep.

Drink plenty of fresh water while going through the course. That should help quite a bit.

AssemblerCT, you are not "having problems with system." You are noticing what is happening as you learn the system. Be careful about using emotionally charged words that could derail your goals.

The Natural Brilliance book, which is included with your course, can be a great resource for you here.
