When I activate, it doesn't seem to get me anywhere. When Skittering, Rapid reading, Super reading I dont seem to have the need to "dip" in on any words of relevance. I don't seem to have any knowlege about the books I have photo read. I keep digging in my inner mind for clues but I feel I simply don't have any knowlege to be drawn out. If any one could be help me I would appreciat it.

THANKS...

Meurphy

Hmmm......

How many Mind Probing questions did you put together before SuperReading & Dipping?

How many of the trigger words and phrases you wrote down during your 8-minute Preview did you weave into your Mind Probing questions?

Also, how many 30-minute activation passes did you have with Mind Probing, SuperReading & Dipping, and adding a layer of branches to your Mind Map after each pass?

Your point is well seen Dana. Down to the source of the problem, I see that I did not prepare enough questions. I find myself dipping whenever I pass a word that has meaning to me, regardless if it is relevent to my questions. Whenever I see the word brain for example, I am compelled to stop and read and I find that there is nothing really there meaningful. Also, the books I an photoreading don't seem to bring specific questions in mind but I do have a general curiousity. Also I should say that I am only on tape 7 and I am not sure what 30 min passes are at this point. Another thing; when Paul asks me what I know about the text after activating and if I have a feel for the text I can say yes I do, but the only reason I have a feel for the text is because I have previewed, and there are certain words that will stay in my mind. And Another thing, when I do the exercise questions I feel I can answer them just by common sense rather than what I have photoread. I will work on the points that you mentioned ...

Always the optimistic point of veiw

Meurphy!

That's exactly right. Feel free to stop and Dip into any text you are attracted to. You'll Dip dozens of times throughout an activation pass. And, here's the exciting part...

Each time you stop and Dip, you are "burning in" new neuro pathways between your conscious mind and the place in your other-than-conscious processor where you absorbed all the patterns of text at a page per second.

Our limited conscious mind doesn't detect these new connections getting "wired in" at first. As you continue SuperReading & Dipping along with the other activation techniques, you'll build enough new connections where, all the information in your book begins to "GEL" up at a conscious level, where you comprehend it all fully. You'll also notice you've spent a third to a tenth of the amount of time compared to regular old reading, and re-reading, and re-reading.

Remember to craft up some questions with your Trigger Words and Phrases. You'll always be able to generate questions using that method.

When you finish all the tapes, plan to work the whole 5-step system on several books. It's the best way to integrate all of the techniques.

Post back with all of your questions, challenges, and "AH-HA" experiences!

Dana,
Point well taken.

Very true. Just today I PhotoRead and then activated Chapter 14 of my Geography book. After I superread and dipped into a few things, I feel that once I do go back, it would be an even greater understanding.

Another great thing to add in is incubation time. In fact - the PhotoFocus step itself is so crucial that you likely won't even realize how important it is until you go without it! I tried just zipping through the text without photofocus recently, and I had to go back and slow down to get in each individual word. Once I use PhotoFocus, I can go at around a paragraph every second and a half.

Even if you feel the system may be failing for you, just keeping trying and remember incubation time, and PhotoFocus:they can really help you. You may not be going fast, but it gives you a much better understanding of nearly any material that puzzles you in the LEAST way.
