Hi everyone,

To my understanding, photofocus is about diverging the eyes. Is it okay that I still see the words when I diverge my eyes? Somes I see are clear, and others not. Do moves my eyes up and donw and left to right just to make sure I capture everything on the page to be in my defocusing eyes? Thanks!

abl25,

About the best advice regarding Photofocus is to maintain a soooffttt, reelaaxed gaze.

Moving the eyes can break the PF but with practice, you can move the eyes without loosing focus. At least for me anyhow.

Concentrate on maintaining a soft, relaxed gaze and the mechanics of Photofocus just happen automagically!

Hi Michael,

Thanks!

Once I achieve a soft, relaxed gaze, would the words become clear in my focus? Is the focus about seeing unclear words?

Again, thanks!

A part of photofocus is to allow your eyes to see more of the page. The whole open book is in view so it is unnecessary to move your eyes to look at the page... it's all already in view.

Gentley moving the eyes while in photofocus helps to keep them relaxed and prevents them from watering.

Turn the book upsided down to photoread it makes it easier to keep the divergent gaze since you don't have to focus on the words when its upside down.

Alex,

Hmm. Turning the book upside down is a very interesting idea because the book I purchased has suggestion of turning the book upside down. I'm gonna try your idea and see how it goes. Since the photofocus is not about looking at words, would I be able to know the words later before activation?

Thanks,

Most often you lack conscious awareness of what you photoread, especially as a learner of the process. We use manual activation to speed up conscious awareness of the book.

You may have some feelings, images or ideas what the book is about. Most often this is a form of spontaneous activation. Even if you feel you have zip just prior to activation you are doing fine. It's through the manual activation that we discover what we already know about the book.

Hi Alex,

I had photoreaded about 3 times on three different books. Now the time to activate by probing my mind (asking questions) then by superreding and dipping to answers my questions. I sure hope that I activate in the right way, hoping that any information would come to my conciousness. I'll let you know of the conclusion after activation. Thanks, indeed!!
