To those older here, and especially to those who are teens like me:do you like to party? I mean with like...some big music, DJ booth, beer, and all that?

The reason I ask...is because I think I might have a theory.

I have my own personal theory on this one.

When I was younger, I hated partying. DJ's (even though my brother IS one), beer, loud music - I hated it all.

I still do, to a point. I think the reason was that when I was younger, I felt like the only reason other people my age were doing it was that they were trying to pretend they were older 20-somethings. "Hey, I have a fake ID, worship me, ladies..."

Now I'm 21, and bars aren't out of the question anymore. I'll usually head out to a bar with a couple of other 21-year-old friends, and they'll have a DJ with loud music again. I still refuse to go "clubbing", but if it's a house party with lots of people that I know, I'm all for it.

Then again, my perception of fun is probably directly proportional to the amount of liquor present in my system at the time.

Please remember that I'm of legal drinking age - I still disapprove of teen drinking. And if you DO drink, drink responsibly.

And never go clubbing.

I can't stand it, actually. To quote Anton LaVey, "there is nothing I enjoy so much that I will go some place crowded and noisy to do it."

I like clubbing, especially the whole dance, DJ thing, with lots of flashy lights and people (who may or may not be on drugs) getting into the music.
I myself don't do drugs (including alcohol), and i hate having to shout in clubs so i pretty much go for a boogie. But my main point is; when you're having a good dance, i mean really 'getting into your groove' and getting into the music isn't that an example of the flow-state we're all trying to achieve in PR?

Anyway youngprer, what was your theory?
