Yes I had purchased the Genius Code. Wrote what I thought about it here http://www.learningstrategies.com/forum/ubb/Forum1/HTML/000060.html

Have you done the five day test, from the photoreading book?

Also tell us what steps you've been taking to activate so far.

Hello,

Thank you very much, AlexK.

I'm sorry because I really don't have enough time for the 5 days test, we have atleast 2 exam or presentation each week.

But I find that if I pr the book or note before I read ( I mean regular reading ), I can memorised things and understand more easily, and vice versa if I didn't pr before I read.

I do the activating step as Paul touch. Enter the idea state of mind, skittering the book, mostly I found myself dipped into almost every page. And I also try to copy almost everything into my MindMap's sheet. I try just write down less than 5 key words form each page, and I still not able to recall most of the content from the book.

Never mind about my activating step, now I really don't have time to try it... I really appreciate your help, Thank you very very much.

I'll read through your post, AlexK, thank you very much.

Takecare, good luck and all the best.

Edgard

Hi, Edgard.

If you don't have time to perform the 5-day test, you might want to postpone your purchase of the Genius Code until such time that you are able to obtain the full benefits of the course. Better that than to shelve it. The GC has a great many other things worth learning, you know.

Just a note on your skittering and dipping. Are you forming mind-probing questions? Remember, activation works best when you are curious and open and are looking for something. It also encourages the inner mind to bring forth the information you've blasted in during the PR step. If you are not, then I strongly suggest you at least try the mind-probing questions. It should help you locate the key ideas which you need, instead of going for words. Even if you do just rapid reading, this will help you be more alert to the information you need. And mind-mapping from there should be a lot more constructive. Just a thought.

Good luck.

Edgard,

It sounds to me like you are trying to get it all out of one activation pass. Remember to limit the activation pass to about 30 minutes. Take a short break and then do another activation pass. However long it used to take you to understand the book see if you can total your activation passes to be about 1/3 the time. EG if it normally takes you 6 hours to regular read and understand then you need to spend 2 hours or 4 x 30 minute activating.

Alex
