Hey, I just start learning photoreading. I found that when I was in Photo focus whole words became clear and shiny. However, I wonder, is it possible that I can do photoread and rapid read at the same time?
I think if we have to do rapid read or super/dip read in order to comprehend what you read after photoread, why not just skip the photoread. i am just looking for directions.
And one more, when you are in photofocus, do words have to be blurry all time? not clear and active?
Thanks

Photoreading is when we place all the information from the text into the inner mind at one time. To successfully do this the conscious mind has to be preoccupied to prevent it from slowing down the process. By consciously reading you are preventing the information going into the inner mind because you are triggering a different part of the brain to respond.

Superreading and dipping isn't getting the information from the book it's to get the information from your inner mind to your conscious mind, using the book as the trigger. This way, you can gain the necessary information in the shortest possible time knowing that you have it all.

If you just superread and dip without photoreading your mind doesn't know if you've missed any information or if you have infact found all the information. So the 3 to 10 minutes spend photoreading are well worth the effort

Normally when you first learn to photoread and you have the blip page the words are blurry. After some time they may become clear and 3D, however we avoid seeing the words so that our inner mind can process them. If you lose the blip page just maintain a soft focus and notice the four edges of the book and the patterns of the white spaces avoid looking at the words

Thanks, Alex.
When you photoread what should you do exactley? I mean, what do I have to do?
I can flip the one page less than second, which mean I just flip if I don't need to aware what i am reading. you know what I am asking?

Focus on the chant while you are photoreading as explained on page 50 of the Photoreading book. That keeps your conscious mind occupied while you are flipping the pages.

choi,
The chant is what you keep saying over and over while you keep flipping the pages.

Please tell me how you proceed with each stage of the photoreading steps

Prepare
Preview
Photoread
Acivate
Rapid read

Once I know what you are doing at each step then we may be able to help you better

This is funny, I have not photoread any book yet according to what people say here.
i usually mantain photofocus and try to read one sentence one at a time with inner voice ( i make sound in my mind), so that i can understand it as fast as possible.
I just finished reading PRbook whole mind system...in this way. weather you believe or ont two days age I start to have potofocus then my reading speed almost thriple ( the way as i meantioned above).

i have tried to photoread the novel "Green Mile" since when I get photofocus. however, I found this forum accidently. I read many quesitons and answers, then I found that i misunderstood about photoread stage.

Any way, i try to gather pre -information about the novel I try to read through preview this book, then I make purpose of reading that I want to enjoy, want to know who is here and what happen to him or them in this story. I just try to photoread it. I have asked you some questions to understand photoread well before i exactly get into it.

here is my another question.
What do you say over and over when you photoread? do you say what is your purpose of reading this book or material?

just Doing simple math, I think photoread may not good way when you read really short articles if you have to follows all activating steps becuse before activaitng the information from inner mind we have to take rest at least certain amount of time. I just want to know what photoread expert's oponions. not offending.

Do you have any comment for me before I really try it.
To be honest, knowing more about photoread stage, I think it sounds like some joke. i strongly believe that it will work when I got photofocus, but after reading what you expert's answer I feel like I have to only hold religious like photoreading faith.

anyway, I believe it will work!!!
otherwise I don't writ my story and quetion wasitng my time and your time.
i just want to know more how it can work without just saying "You got to believe it!"
Thank, I respect all of you guys, and specially you, Alex .
Thanks again.

Choi,

You really need to get the course or at the very least read the book.

Here is the link to find out more about the photoreading course
http://www.learningstrategies.com/PhotoReading/Home.html

Find out about the book http://www.learningstrategies.com/PhotoReading/Book.html

Without having read at least the book it will be difficult to teach you all parts of the photoreadng system.

Thanks, Alex.
i have read the book. I guess what i wrot here mislead you. ( maybe, it is part of my English problem)
i can say I have read this book more thatn four times. But I just slow understranding or some times ever understand until i ask to some else.

Anyway, I understand a lot of things yesterday while digging it in this forum. This morning i experirnce the photoreading that you guys talking about. I just flip the pages and I say something over and over that page 50 suggested.

Now i grab five books, including photoread, that I am going to read. i will have a lot of question while i activating it. But I think it is OK because I will ask you guys it again and again.

i just want to correct what i mislead you guys, specially you, Alex.
