I am a guitarist, and look at guitar tabs often to learn new songs quickly. Would photoreading help with this, allowing me to somewhat picture it in my head for better memory of it? They consist of entirely numbers(for the most part). Basically just a lot of things like:

----12-----------------
-------13h15p13--------
-----------------17/19-
----12-----------------
-----------------------
-----------------------

some more complicated, some less. I noticed people talking about the dictionary game and imaging where it might be on the page, so maybe it would work with something like this?

Direct learning--photoreading without activation would help tremendously here.

Definately, it will help.
