Could someone please make a suggestion to me as to how to I go about maintaining the tangerine effect at the back top part of my head. Whenever I focus consciouslly on it, nothing on the page is gasped whatsoever. And when I stop thinking about the tangerine effect I absorb some material consciouslly; but still havent been able to absorb the material with my other than conscious mind. Help!!!

Tangerine is passive. I don't get much notice of the tangerine, I just imagine that my focus comes from my top back of my head. Don't stress too much and play more. If your are the kid that once was at age 4 the world is fresh and new. Feel like your a kid who has a purpose to explorer the world and not worry about grasping everything or doing things correcty right away. words from a beginner Chang

You place the tangerine and then don't worry about it. If you forget about it and get the results you want, then great. Just bring it back into focus when you find that your mind has been wondering away from the task at hand. If you absorb the information consciously then the other than conscious mind has also absorbed it. Trust that it has happened because it does. The other than conscious mind is a part of your whole mind and it is always working. Alex

Even better, forget Tangerines all together. Personally, I use the POODLE technique. That's right, I imagine a POODLE floating behind the top back part of my head. It works, too!

Gathers the senses. Try anything that'll have all your senses concentrated on the top back part of your head, usually above where your hair all spreads out.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I feel that all of them will be helpful. Yeah, I think the poodle one will stick out in my mind the most. LOL, Thanks everyone, and always look for more great thoughts. [This message has been edited by Searcher (edited March 25, 2003).]
