When it mentions to go straight down the text while superreading and dipping, do i have to use my finger as most conventional speedreading methods or can i just use my eyes?

I don't think it matters, although it's probably easier for your eyes to catch onto things to dip into if your hand isn't in the way.

I would say no, because you can go faster without using your finger to guide your eyes, but the coolness of PRing is that you can make it your own, so it's really up to you.

i am just too flipping lazy to use my fingers which i think partly (sad to say) is the reason i dont like the process of PR very much.

as for being hilarious, i dont want to answer that or this post will lead to something else...(eventually being erased by the forum runners- like razor and rflow's discussions)........

Pagedown. That's all I do for my extra books that I PRed perday w/o activation. Just do everything that you can, ACTIVATE if you need to. Do all steps w/o Activate if you can't

Using your finger as a guide to pull your eyes down the text slows you down. You are covering the words that you want to see and leaving visible what you no longer need to see.

Personally I find using any tool to guide the eyes slows me down. The time it takes to postion a guide adds up. Best guide for training the eye to move down the page faster was a stop watch.
