Has anyone photoread the I-Ching; and if so how has it influenced your life?

Photoreading I Ching is like photoreading a tarot book. It's a fortune telling tool. I hardly expect that to change ones life.

I have been studying the I-Ching for a number of years among other texts. I have as a matter of fact predicted things to happen with different forms of energy change from what insight I have gained.
I will have to say that anyone that will ever undertake such an endevor, must learn how to learn it; and to have the utmost persistence. This is NOT an easy text to learn because of the depth of metaphors that are not elaborated as to their meaning. Thus leaving a person to utilize a subjective interpertation of some terminology. This text is an abstract representation of energy transormation. Understanding metaphors, literal examples, and a combination of the two is what I could suggest so far.
Does anyone else have any thoughts; as to photoreading this ancient Chinese oracle.

I myself am interested in I Ching, although I would prefer to read it in Chinese. The problem is my Chinese isn't good enough to read I Ching which is written in wun yen wun, which is the ancient form of writing. I am hesitant to read English version because people tell me that when ancient texts are translated into English, much of the meaning is distorted or lost.

But if any of you are 100 confident that there's an English version out there that translates the I Ching very well without too much distortion, can you recommend the book title and author to me?

ancient indeed....Book of Changes is a waste of time unless you intend on chronicling human malarkey. There is NO mystery here; our ancestors had no science, so they used random events (coin tosses, plant stalks, bird's entrails, the stars, lines on burnt bones, etc.,) to tell them how to deal with problems that had no easy answer, or mysterious events that had no easy explanation.
