I have gone through the system and am now preparing for my exams. one of the most interesting parts for me has been the photo focus state. heres the deal i can see the blip page but my eyes are unfocused. i have the idea that photo focus is like unfocusing your eyes and then focusing on the whole page. sort of inbetween out of focus and in focus. i also know that some speed reading courses get you to focus on more words per fixation (i read 'the speed reading book' from tony buzan and tried the vision exercise and found that each line oscillated from being elavated to being lowered); is that photo focus?

questions.

1 does unfocusing your eyes mean your preconscious proccesor doesent proccess what you flip?

2 am i on the right track with the unfocus to focus strategy?

3 are there many more speed reading techniques that we can use in the whole mind sytem?

and 4 can anyone recommend any books about photo focus, visual therapy etc?

Photofocus is parallel vision used to see those 3D images.(page 46 of the book explains that.)

This link explains parallel viewing.The guaranteed ticket at the bottom of the page shows the cocktail wienie effect.

i had a problem with the stereo gramm a 3d shape appearded but it was all muddled up. like i saw the word photo but the rest was jumbled. i have used them before and only recently has that happened. its become a limiting belief 'i can't see the 3d image'.

Your choice if you want to hold onto the the further development of that self limiting belief.

There are additional 3D stereograms to try at that site. You can print them out and play with them for a while. I printed out a set of 12 and looked at them 3 times a day for a couple of days afterwards I found that I had the blip page easily and it stayed there too.

If you're refering to the stereogram in the PhotoReading manual. Yes that's a tricky one it gives a cave like effect since the letters are near the edge.

Looking through the site you recommended, I can understand why photofocus and hard focusing on the whole book are different things. Also when the image is muddled it probably means one eye is being lazy.
