I'm interested in meditation for the health benefits and for the ability to integrate my mind and focus better throughout the day.

I was wondering if any PR'ers noticed effects like that as a side benefit of Photoreading?

My plan is to meditate in the mornings and photoread at night. Bought the book several months ago and gave it a cursory try. Now, got back into the book and having some fun with it. I can see the blip page now - except when I look through the center of the book. Anyway, I'm going to keep moving on it.

I have the ability to unfocus better, if that counts.

I can let my mind wander a bit further, because the communication between preconcious mind and conscious mind is stronger.

I was thinking of getting Holosynch for my birthday. A friend of mine explained the science behind women's intuition. In female brains, the corpus colosum is larger - hense more communication between the seperate hemispheres. At first I thought Holosync was an interesting idea at best, but then I saw the graphics of formations between the experienced holosynch person in a non-meditative state and a regular person in a non-meditative state. The balance between the two hemispheres looks ... fascinating.

I purchased the meditation CD's from centerpoint over a year ago.I only ever got the first set of CD's as I couldn't afford to buy the rest.
I've actually just received a letter from learning strategies about Holosync Technology, which is a strange coincidence.
The prices don't seem too bad, although currently my spending is at a minimum so I may leave it for now. However the centerpoint CD's I purchased were very good and you've reminded me that I have them, so I'll be listening to them before photoreading to see what difference it could make.

My recommendation is Zazen Meditation as it most closely fits the mental processing in PhotoReading. It improves your concentration and activation skills.

The meditation is done with the eyes half open and are never closed. For more info see http://www.mro.org/zmm/zazen.shtml

"When you've been practicing this process for a while, your awareness will sharpen. You'll begin to notice things that were always there but escaped your attention. Because of the preoccupation with the internal dialogue, you were too full to be able to see what was happening around you. The process of zazen begins to open that up."

Zazen is the foundation of the martial arts, of being able to perceive everywhere and nowhere, to take in the entire visual field and expand your peripheral vision, a kind of focused awareness, and to act without the interference of thought. It's very akin to having the orange behind the head and looking through the book to a point beyond the book.
