After messing around with Acrobat Reader 6, I found a feature that will advance the pages automatically. It's in the full page options. The fastest you can have it advance is 1 second, and it can be changed in second increments.

This feature comes in VERY handy for my CCIE study. What I do is find 3 pdfs on the same subject... then have them advance on three lcd monitors on my desk.

I do this, but a question:

If the words are not clear in normal view, then will my brain still be able to take the info while in photofocus?

I currently click the screen to browse the pages.

Also, does anyone know of a way of doing this in word.I can read documents in print preview mode, the words are sometimes very small, but AlexK says that's ok, so it's ok.

However, can you get the full screen in Word.I should know this myself but if anyone can tell me here before I found out then please post.

OK, in Microsoft Word you just click view and then full screen.

However, unlike Abode Acrobat there isn't an option to click and go to the next page, you can only scroll, so it seems.

While PR I would find it easier to click rather than scrolling because it's easier to stay relaxed because it's a smoother transition between pages.

If anyone has a solution then please share it as it would be a great benefit to me, as I have to read many word documents.

In word I make the doc 60 to 120% for photoreading hold the page down key. This method jumps the viewable page at a nice pace.

1. There is an automatic smooth scrolling under the view options. Really cool.

2. The new version 6 has the read outloud function.

Nice one! not5150, that scroll thing is just what I've been after, ace!

I wonder if there's anything similar in Word.Thing is I have loads of downloaded documents but they're mostly in MS Word format.I'll have to either find a way in Word or try and transpose them to Abode format.

Check you mouse software some of them have the scroll button in the mouse. You locate your curser nexted to the text in word. Click down on the mouse wheel and then just move the curser outside the icon tht pops onto the page. Depending how far you move you up or down sets the speed. Often even with this feature you can use the scroll wheel over the side bar . However you're manually turning it.

If you're serious about making your own PDF files from word you could have a look at www.nonags.com I noticed that they had some .pdf makers there. They are free without crippleware from nonags and that would probably suit your needs better than the overbloated Adobe Acrobat if that's all you want to do with it.
