I am curious about what type of purpose people have for learning the PR system.
My purpose is multifaceted:
Finish my engineering degree in the allotted five years (average for this study is 7.5 years).
Stay ahead of the lectures.
Have time left over to relax, go to the gym, cook, sleep.
Have passed enough exams each year that I can spare the time to work during summer holidays.
Of course there is also an intention of fully enjoying racing through written material and picking up useful and interesting knowledge, of seeing the big picture, being better able to analyse and see connections... all of which are more abstract, I guess.
I suspect that my purpose will change over time.
What is your purpose?
How specific is your purpose?
Did you spend any time defining it, or did you already have a good idea what it was without giving it extra thought?
When do you know that you have achieved it?
Does it affect the way you approach the learning process?
