I’m still new but I thought this was a perfect analogy for the photoreading (learning in layers) system. Sorry if you have heard this before now.
A man fills a glass with rocks and asks the class if its full. The class says “yes.” He then fills the glass with smaller rocks which fall in between the larger rocks. He asks the class if the glass is full and no one answers. Then he puts sand in the glass which filters in among the rocks. Then he pours water in which drains between the sand. “Now the glass is full,” says the professor.
Moral: get the big stuff in first and the details will follow.
