Well some ? for you. What was your purpose for the book? What were you hoping to get from the book?Did you search for and write down trigger words? Did you write down mind probing questions for the trigger words? photoread4me.

Most people when they are having activation difficulties is usually related to some factors. 1. Not being very clear about what your purpose is. If your purpose is vague & unclear it will be harder to achieve it.If your purpose is very clear you greatly increase the odds of obtaining it.

2. Not searching for trigger words.Trigger words are words that you are attracted to & are related to your purpose.

3. Not formulating questions for the trigger words. If you don't ask questions for the trigger words how is your conscious mind going to know what you are looking for when you superread & dip.

Sounds like you need to form question that raise your curiosity.

Activation means to get active with reading. Unlike regular reading where we read word for word and hope it makes sense. To get active ask question... who, what, why, when. where, how. If you're not sure where to start look in the table of content and turn the heading that most interest you at the time into a question then jump to the chapters for the answers.

Do the questions have to be in depth or can they be simple questions like "How does that work?" or "What is the definition of that?" like that or do they need to be more in detail?

You can add more depth by considering your purpose. How will knowing, how that works, satisfy your purpose to...? ("understand" the principle so that I can pass the test on the topic is a perfectly valid answer; also to "understand" it so that I can see if I can apply it to my purpose is a valid consideration).

Just considering your purpose also helps to form questions and even if you can't form ideal questions... you mind being aware of your purpose is going to point you to information that you need to know or will want to know consciously.
