I'm sure this has been answered somewhere on these boards but I couldnt find the answer, and it's probably in the book, which I am going to give a more thorough read tomorrow morning..

When PRing single pages, like computer printouts or web pages, where is it best to keep focus, since there is no blip page... Just look, in photofocus, at the center of the page, or look at the white colum on the left side of the paper where the spine of the book/blip page would be?...?

Use the imaginary X-technique. Your focus will be in the center of the page with a soft gaze. You're not trying to see the blip page when you are only looking at the single page, so notice the patterns of the white spaces and margins around the text.

Are soft gaze and divergent gaze the same thing, or is a divergent gaze only used for things like seeing the blip page or looking at stereograms, and is soft gaze more like staring off into space?... Either way, what I'm doing seems to be working for me.

They are the same thing by degrees. If what you're doing is working then consider yourself on the right track.
