Thinking is a constant process of asking and answering questions. When using the PR whole mind system, you think and that is ask and receive answers. If you ask a lousy question, you'll get a lousy answer. If you ask a specific clear "?" you'll get a clear answer.

If you ask - "What details do I need to know about this book that will help me?"

Your mind's answer will be - "You'll need (a lot) or (not much) details from this books"

An answer of such kind will disappoint you and you will say - Activation does not work for me.

However, if you'll ask - "How does this specific element relates to this specific function?"

Your mind is much more likely to give you more specific answer, maybe even one that you desire.

First look at your starting point - "?" and then the end will change - "answer". .

Interesting.

Sometimes I read a book about something of which I know nothing before I start. My desire can be to "know as much as possible about this subject". As much as possible can be nothing or very much and everything in between. When I read like I usually do, not Photoreading, I think it is fairly much.

When I read about someone who read thousands of pages of patent documents at speeds of several hundred thousands of words per minute, and can answer really detailed questions afterwards, I ask myself what kinds of questions he or she asked before he started. I still haven't figured out what to ask from material that I know little about but would like to learn much about. Are there any good suggestions on that?

I am a beginning Photoreader so this may clear up when I have had more practice. I am absolutely convinced that Photoreading can work and should work for me.

Best reagrds,

If you're in the habit of thinking about what you read you probably already form questions.

I do suggest you get the course before deciding how photoreading works. These forum post can create a complext idea how you think it should work and put on the breaks to your learning.

Take it one step at a time. That way you can put each of the steps into the right order at the right time.

I have read books about it (The Photoreading Whole Mind System and The Mind Accelerator), so I'm not completely new to the idea, but yes, I might buy the self study course too.

Best regards,

Ivan,

If you read things like the contents page, the index (look for words that have many references) and dip into the last paragraph and first paragraph of chapters that interest you then your questions will come quickly as will your understanding of the framework of the book.

Hope this helps,

Tom
