I have stumbled on something that I believe can help anyone master the photofocus state. One of the signposts of being in the optimal focus for photoreading is to have the words and pictures become "3 dimensional".

Here is something you can really test with. There are a handful of comic books that have bound in a book format known as graphic novels that are printed in black and white. There are plenty of titles you can choose from. Marvel comics for instance has a series of multivolume books in their Essential series. There are also many manga books which have spawned from Japanese influence.

If you are in the proper state, the pictures will jump off the page like an old classic 3D movie.

You can easily get them at Barnes and Nobles or Borders. Your public library may also be a great source.

It's also trippy to look at your keyboard that way. The keys are all the same size and evenly spaced so that if you diverge your eyes just right they'll 3D out at you.
