Tried it back in 2002 shortly after learning the system and found it pointless.
No real change in focus and concentration and if anything was somewhat slower, wasn't sure why at that time but learned since then that during activation the brainwaves rise and fall rapidly and there is even a change in the pattern once one becomes more experienced in PhotoReading (faster still) and since each book is different the appropriate spikes in brainwave are harder to place.
For photoReading itself I found it a nuisance, wires getting in the way and it actually takes longer to set up than just to PR a book in 3 minutes. That was another reason I gave it up with activation rather quickly too. Now I activate during commercial breaks a powerful reminder that the mind can ignore distractions just as well as it can be influenced by them.
