I remember buying the Photoreading book almost 8 years ago. Just last week, I had proof it still worked. Due to my busy schedule (I'm military) I have never had the time to actually fully learn the entire use of Photoreading. But, most of the basic concepts I have managed to learn, and here's proof:
Recently, I've been able to finally go back to college and continue working on my degree. In my history class, our professor explained that typically most students barely pass his first test, due to the unfamiliar setup and complexity of his questions. Being myself, I've never really liked studying, and so I just did what I always do. I relax, let his words and explanations flow over me, and don't concentrate on the info, just on the concepts. I never even bothered to read the book, just looking at the pictures and generally skimming over the actual text. I don't take notes, either. By the time that first test came around, I sat down and finished the 2-hour test in about 30 minutes, and when I walked in the next class period found out he wouldn't give me back my test. He said that he was going to use it for a cheat sheet to go over with the rest of the class. I'd made a 97 on it.
No studying, no effort, no notes. Just applying a few of the Photoreading techniques. And this all from only reading the book 8 years ago!
