I know when I normally read somthing that there is some thought on the sentences and other thoughts conveyed in the book and sometimes it can take awhile to fully understand what is being conveyed exactly. Now I am not a preforming photoreader.. I am wondering how is this supposed to be building meaning when these things are thought about conciously with me relating or building meaning. So why don't I notice meaning like this from my attempts at photoreading?

Depends on your mind probing questions. If you are just activating with no real curiosity or questions to find answers you have nothing to connect understanding with.

Also expect to do more passes if the text is for you normally a difficult one to consciously comprehend. With each activation pass you build the knowledge and understanding.

Another point if text is difficult to activate, mind map. it helps you to build and see the building of your comprehension with each activation pass.
