Sometimes I find that just rereading the books, with a notepad in hand, and just writing down what comes to mind, helps me activate the materials. I try and rephrase things in my own words and do a lot of mind mapping.

For NLP materials, I try and apply the materials and then journal about what I experience. Alex suggested in a forum, that it is important to know what you really want to get out of the books you are reading.
I also find this most helpful.

well i believe i am better ....but the only thing i am not happy with is that i found out i was ahead behind in my life,in other words i was living for nothing but 2 deimprove myself ( i am not sure if this word exists in the english dictionary ) killing the gift that god gives me .......
anyway for the next step i am doing what is called concentration i dont know if this is in nlp books i did with it but at least i feel like i am anthony robbins with another body .....
