I am doing an experiment to see if I can improve my chess by using accelerative learning methods promoted by this board.

Photoreading as applied to chess
Direct learning using books
and using a chess browser to go through games at high speed/varing speeds

and obviously playing and solving puzzles

Also, I am using the borrowed genius exercises using past world champions.

I am around 1500-1600 elo presently.
I shall report in a month to see whether the methods work.

The main method I am employing is use of Chessbase 8 to play games at a fast rate.
This is already employed by some chess players. It resembles photoreading. Obviously you can vary the speed.

Photoreading books - yet it is difficult to visualise notation.

Solving puzzles and but photreading them first

For activation playing and solving puzzles.

Emphasis on the fundamentals such as Endgame manuals and basic strategy. Using computer databases always seems faster.
