Forums IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ PhotoReading, Memory Optimizer "Experiment"

Hi All,

I am going to be conducting an experiment in the next few days and will be posting my results on the forum, just letting my fellow photo reader's know so if any of you guys and gals have done anything similar or have any advice please let me know.

The experiment is as follows:

I am currently studying to get my CCIE certification, so whilst going through the material for that i decided to get all the information about TCP/IP protocal and networking and photoread them as well but not activate them, the reason for the post is that i have 49 electronic books on networking and the protocal so i am going to photoread them all over the next few day's but not activate them, instead i will continue with the course but tie my purpose in for the ebooks to the course for CCIE and see what kind of results i get.

Im specially going to keep my mind open to spontaneous activation and record my dreams over the period of the experiment.

Sounds good Andreas, I look forward to your results. My only question is, will you really be getting spontaneous activation? The reason I ask is that if you are at the stage of going for your ccie (I am heading in that direction myself)you must surely already have a very strong grasp of the tcp/ip protocol suite already. I guess what I am asking is that if you already are fairly versed with tcp/ip, what is it that you are hoping will spontaneously activate?
The reason I ask is that I am interested in doing the same thing (about 12 textbooks) with a subject that I don't have any prior experience with to see if I can get some spontaneous activation as well. thanks.

The reason i am going to do this is because i want as much information about tcpip as possible, the way i am looking at it is if i photoread evrthing i can get my hands on about networking and tcpip then it will help the information i require come to me more easily and my overall goal is to be able to problem solve quicker, you see most of the time in networking, it is trouble shooting as aposed to engineering, setting up the network is a dodle compared to fixing problems as it could be a million and one things thats the problem.

To simplify for you what im saying is this:

Lets say i have set a network up for 100's of computers and everything is going fine, the network is up and running as is working efficiently, when something goes wrong which it will at some point, i am hoping that because i have read just about everything pertaining to tcpip and networking that ill be able to trouble shoot faster and more easily, with all that information in my other than concious mind, it would be unlikly that i wont find the problem fatser as my mind can sift through the information and give me the answer's i require.

As far as the course goes i am just nearing the end of the first part of the course and will be going into the advanced networking topics for the CCIE certification.

Also my ultimate goal is to have such a high level of knowlege about the network industry, so that ill be among a handfull of people that have that knowlege and therefore be one of the ferw people that will be called to fix the problems that arise etc etc.....

when you pr with an ebook do you just hold down the pgdn key or do you tap it every second or so?? The reason I ask is that i've tried to just hold it down and I feel that some times the data just doesn't fully display and I might be missing something.
PS when did you get so many ebooks?? I'm on the cisco track as well but i'm finding it difficult to local quality ebooks.

Hi m8,

When i PR an ebook i start from the bottom first ie at the end then use the arrow keys to scroll up at a rate of 1-2 seconds, what i have done is i downloaded adobe acrobat reader and at the bottom right hand side of the reader you can click double page so you can see 2 pages at the same time, so going through a sizable ebook is easier.

You are going way too fast to start with, slow down and stay relaxed, and drink plenty of water as when i first started to PR ebooks my head really started to hurt looking at the screen for so long, so when you need to take a break for a couple of minutes and stretch your arms and legs a few times.

As far as the ebooks go if you like i will upload them to my ftp site and you can download them from there. Please let me know and i will post the link for you in the forum, anyone else who wants the books go right ahead and help yourselves.

Hey im no scheele,

one more thing whilst reading ebooks using the adobe reader, i always photoread all my books electronic and paper form by turning the book upside down, this can be achieved with ebooks also by rotating the book so it facing upside down, i find that this helps me stay focused and in state as my concious mind cannot recognise any words cause there the other way round.

Also doing it this way i personally feel the information going into my other than concious mind, the best way i can explain this feeling is whilst flipping pages or scrolling down i feel awarness and a slight tingle sensation at the back part of my head on the right hand side, when i photoread the right way up i never have this feeling at all so i stick with upside down and for the record it has'nt affected my activation or comprehension at all

When you turning the book upside down do you start PR from first page (flip with left hand) or you start from last page (flip with right hand)?
