After thorough analysis on photoreading, I got to wonder where similar mechanics are applied. Like, spacing out, or daydreaming, we are in very consciously loose states of mind, open to unexpected insights or intuitions. To sum it up, photoreading is a bit of subliminal (or unconscious) absorption directed with an intention to learn a certain something. So I was just thinking how we unknowingly use this method in everything...like watching a movie, taking a walk, having an engaging conversation, contain elements like that PR. I can't pinpoint all parallel aspects, but I have notion there are more.
