I'm new to photoreading. I only have vision in one eye so I can't use the blip page technique. I'm currently using the X technique and I just don't understand how to do it. So can anybody explain how should it look like? I mean like Alex's explanation of the blip page on his blog.(Great stuff by the way)

Thanks in advance!

Using the Imaginary X-Technique what you see is the open book. You notice both pages at once.

To help you imagine the X and be aware of both pages at the same time, try this with an open book in front of you.

Place a finger in the top left corner of the left page and place a finger in the lower right corner of the right page. Now imagine a line drawn between those two fingers. Hold that line in your imagination.

Now place a finger in the lower left corner of the left page and the other finger un the upper right corner of the right page. Again draw an imaginary line between those two fingers. In your imagination you will have drawn a cross. the centre of the cross (X<--< that point) will be in the middle of the centre crease. That's where you softly gaze.

While softly gazing at that part of the book you will also be aware of the corners (where your fingers where) in your field of vision.

It takes longer to explain yet will only take a few seconds to do. Once you have done it you'll always be able to "see" the imaginary X

With traditional reading you look at the black text. When using the imaginary x-technique pay attention to the pattern of white instead.

Hey thanks Alex!

I've tried it your way and I think I had succes with it today. I Photoread my Geography book and today at class I was able to answer many questions with ease. Cheers!
