you know growing up i was always the skinny tall kid, and had not more than 3 pounds of fat on me. sadly since my depression i have put on weight and have aquired a certain jigglyness to my body. Im down on myself enough but now i have this prob. The thing is since this has never been an issue for me i dont know how to get back into shape. It would go along way to restoring my self esteem to regain my hold sexy body and lose my jigglyness. whew. I just shared a deep inner doubt with a forum of complete strangers.
please i would apreciate any help on the subject.
thanks

yeah sure, no problem, man! we discuss those things all the time! and to be honest, I've been trying to get the jigglyness out of my body for years
Well, first of all, being on the learningstrategies website, check out the "ideal weight" paraliminal. I don't know if anyone on the forum ever used it, but I think it can't hurt to try it ...
Get yourself a good book about fitness and just stick to it. I've bought dozens of those, and I'm constantly chaning and rearranging my fitness schedule and in the end I don't do anything at all.
check out the forum on www.getfitnow.com !! Stew Smith is a former navy SEAL and he's a great guy and they've got great books and advice. So please check it out!
When I started running and working out, I bought the "official US Marine Corps Workout" book from getitnow.com and I think the "daily 16" and stuff like pushup-pyramids and circuit training are well described. Yeah it also contains a lot of information about the USMC, but it's mostly about fitness rather than recruiting you.

Fat-loss is all about doing a cardiovascular activity (running, swimming, cycling, rowing, ...) for at least 45 to 60 minutes, four to six (although six might be too much) times per week. blah you get get all my gibberish out of books, so I'm not going to go into that.
Just make sure you stretch A LOT, because otherwise your muscles are going to be VERY sore and HURT.
On the other hand, it's going to hurt anyway, and don't you get discouraged by that! But also forget the "no pain, no gain" attitude. It's going to get you in pain.

Well, if you were able to survive through my senseless and chaotic sea of words, I'm gonna give it to you in a nutshell.

IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU DO, JUST DO SOMETHING.
BUY A GOOD FITNESS BOOK AND STICK WITH IT.
IF YOU'RE NOT HAPPY WITH IT, BUY ANOTHER BOOK.

hope this helps,
ste

I've been having some successes with Instantaneous Personal Magnetism lately.

If I was you I'd try watching a movie or two with people that excercise alot and are/get into good shape (the first rocky, richard gere in officer and a gentleman, one of those prefontane movies) and pop in IPG after watching. Try this for a couple weeks and I bet you become way more motivated to excercise.

Good advice! I would also suggest listening to the Self-Esteem Supercharger or New Option Generator. If you can gain those extra pounds, you have the control to lose them too. New Option Generator can help you make different decisions, with your lifestyle, current fitness, or any of the choices that you make daily. It can help you see that you HAVE choices and that you can be in control.

And don't be too hard on yourself. Listen to Self Esteem Supercharger. It's important to feel good about yourself, with or without the extra weight, without comparing yourself to others OR to the way you used to be. Once you have a positive image of yourself, it will seem natural to stay healthy and find an ideal weight for you.

Good luck.

I've been using Natural Brilliance to break through my stuck-state on the size issue. I was eating dinner while listening to a book on tape about a thin man who really loves food. This man is the archetype of a Libra with a Scorpio second-sign, just like I've been pegged as by the last astrologer I spoke with. (I wanted the wall-chart). As I was eating dinner, I slowed way down and savored every morsel, taking smaller and smaller bites to enjoy more fully what I was eating. I realized that at the other end of my stuck state wasn't some anorexic who ate boring and tasteless food, but rather a man of refined tastes who enjoys only the finest things in life.

I was thinking about modling him earlier, because Natural Brilliance took away my excuses to doing a job I never thought I could do - I'm going to be a teacher and earn my masters degree while teaching. As I found myself curious about just how much of his behavior I could add to my own before running into a stop sign, I just noticed my behavior was emulating his own.
