After practicing level II for about 3 months
I am still having difficulties detecting blockages. Following the directions on the videotape, I am asking very specific questions while attempting detections. My problem is the varied sensations I receive on my palm, including tingling, throbbing, heat, etc. At times I get these sensations from the top of my partners head down to the feet. I would appreciate any advice from anyone.

Let me clarify my original post. When attempting to detect energy blockages,my hands seem to receiving different sensations on different days. One day e.g., I would feel throbbing sensation only, and this sensation would have the same intensity over my partners whole body. On another day it may be a tingling sensation only or heat. I seem to be able to detect energy sensations on my hand but seem to be unable to discern specific blockages since the sensations appear to be uniform throughout my partners body. I am asking specific questions while attempting detection. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

In my opinion( famous words!), I think you are just growing and experiencing things we all experience trying to improve and learn this material, and do healing work on other people.
Don't forget that you are an important part of the equation. If I am going to work on someone else, I turn up my own program of working on myself. If I just pursued level 2 healing techniques on someone else, I wouldn't be addressing myself. I spend serious time in level 2 exercises and meditation, in conjunction with doing healing work on someone else. My initial experiences, and sometimes still, are not clear, regarding working on someone else. As I said, I really focus more on myself in relation to this , than stay in the realm of progress through reading and working on people. I must say though , that working on people, "is" a tremendous learning experience, and is the best place to make progress as a healer, but not without the support of selfwork. I first started on family members. I didn't feel much, or felt something consistantly the same , as you mention. I just went through their whole system and did the steps, regardless. Open their spine in key places, clear their five organs, put some extra love energy in their heart, and charge their kidneys. Regardless of your experience in terms of clear sensations , you are covering the bases, and they will benefit from your intentions. I have found the best learning experience has been with more serious blockages. I don't have very much experience with this type of healing work, but I take these opportunities very seriously, and turn up my own focus, on my own exercise and meditation.
The time with the person I am working on is brief, compared to my prework and practice. You will get affirmation of progress, maybe very brief or small, if you stick with it. Just follow through with a thorough healing on your partner, for their benefit, and trust that you will catch up to better feeling as to what is going on. Again, remember your meditation, selfwork and qigong exercise are a very important factor in improving the other side, involving healing work on someone else. For some people, healing work is immediately felt and experienced. For some of us, we have to work hard on self,(work hard on everything!), and go through the paces, trusting the results. Enjoy your time doing this. It will improve.

Thank you for your thoughful response. As you suggested, I will continue to practice diligently on all aspects of SF qigong.
