Chunyi Lin in the video for Level 1 is shown doing the active exercises outdoors. It looked like some type of botanical garden. I practiced outdoors in woods behind my house. It's very early spring in Pennslvania where I live. Everything was very fresh and refreshing. The surroundings were a spring forest. I enjoyed it tremendously and plan to do the active exercises from Levels 1 and 2 outdoors in the woods when I have the opportunity.

Yes this appears to be refreshing. this time of the year works, but for me, I tried this last summer in the woods as I am in the reserves and thought I could get away for a while without distractions, but the bugs were horrendous. Good Luck to you

Aloha!

Someone talking warm weather, hmmm...might take a couple months for Minnesota to get there. Chunyi would remind you to face into the wind when doing SF Qigong outside. (p.s. he would politly ask the bugs not to bother him too).

Much love, Shawn

THE TEMPERATURE YESTERDAY WAS IN THE 50'S AS I PRACTICED IN THE WOODS AT THE TOP OF A HILL NEAR MY HOUSE. I HAD HEARD FROM OTHER QIGONG TEACHERS NOT TO PRACTICE WHEN IT IS WINDY, SO THE ADVICE TO PRACTICE HEADED INTO THE WIND WAS WELCOME. IT WORKED WELL YESTERDAY. I WAS REFRESHED BY THE PRACTICE AND FELT MORE READY TO START ANOTHER WORK WEEK. A WET SPRING DAY IN PENNSYLVNIA IS LOVELY, NO BUGS, BUT LOTS OF BIRD SONG COMING BACK TO THE SPRING FOREST AND SMELLS OF PLANTS AND THE EARTH.

Yeah, in level one there were no bugs, just his son in the background!
