I am a new practitioner of SFQ and have very little experience with energy work. While doing the active exercises the other day I had this experience: my cellular phone rang and I answered it. I had done less than 10 minutes of QGong exercises (with the tape): the Beginning of the Universe and Forming of Yin & Yang. I decided to answer the call and within seconds the phone got so hot that I had to keep on switching it from one ear to another. My conversation lasted about 5 minutes and the phone was hot all that time.

I have no idea if this incident has anything to do with QGong and I would like some comments. Thank you. Joana

Either the phone had an overrun battery, or you were passing a lot of chi through the thing. Just my guess. . .and I don't even do QiGong.

I have found that after I started practicing QiGong and exploring other 'Subtle Energy' products, I became more sensitive to telephones and cellular phones. At this point, I hate to talk on the cell phone more than a few minutes because of the heat and uncomfortable feelings it produces. As you get more in touch with your energetic self... you become more aware of things that will shift your body out of balance (Cell Phones, Power Lines, Computer Screens, etc) The best thing to do is Sword Fingers (Level II) on your ears to help restore balance to the area.

i think the most important question is "has this happened ever before or ever since that incident(not while doing Qigong)"? if yes, then its the battery, but in order for you to post this, i bet the answer is no, and that means qigong really does work and now you know for sure.

In response to Neo-Matrix's question, no, the incident with the cellular phone had never happened before my practice of QGong. I seldom use my cellular phone for more than 3 - 4 minutes at a time, so this condition has not happened again. The only other incident I had was with a cordless phone, but the heat was not as intense.
