Greetings:
Any suggestions on how to treat an injury with Qigong? I received a blow to the eye brow area that required stiches and is now quite swollen. Many thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Aloha Opensky,

Master Lin frequently mentions the healing and scar preventing/minimizing benefits of honey.

Your level II course is for healing and that includes yourself.

Here's one option:

Each morning you can stand in front of your mirror and go through the healing steps that Master Lin teaches in that course -doing it on that person there in the mirror. If you just want to focus on the eyebrow area, that's good, however consider taking time to scan that person for blockages and do a healing each morning before starting the day. The healing process doesn't need to take a whole lot of time. Work on what you find in the detecting and where there is pain/injury.

Much Mahalo, Shawn

Thanks Shawn for your thoughtful reply. I will re-visit the material in Level II. The use of the mirror is something that did not occur to me.

By the way are you from Hawaii? Mahalo nui loa, Brad

Aloha Opensky, aka: Brad,

When working with the mirror, refer to the image in the mirror as working on "that" body, not your body.

I did have to laugh just now. I'm so trained into all the Polish heritage around the Midwest, that I was thinking O-PEN-SKI rather than OPEN-SKY. I guess it's time for some sun, ocean waves and qigong on the beach.

I'm a North Dakota boy who's gotten to spend some extended time learning and doing sacred body work on Kauai. A close friend just moved to Maui, so we may have to visit next year once the little beaner is older (not to mention born).

p.s. Your also welcome very much

Much Love, Shawn
