When I read the information on SFQ Level 1, before I bought it, I thought it said it can heal a whole list of ill, which included AD/HD. Now it seems I must buy up to level 4 to be able to know how to be able to focus and not have my mind wondering like it has done all of my life, which has make my life very difficult, to say the least. I am unable to focus during Small Universe and self meditation (tape 6). I don't have much of a short term memory, so I'm haveing trouble learning the active exercise, where I can do it without mental strain. So I need to know how to take care of these two problems, before I can be comfortable doing the meditations, as far as I know.

I'm on a fixed income and very limited on funds and even though I wouldn't mind paying for the additional levels, I won't be able to pay the prices listed in the last pages of the Level 1 book. They seem pretty steep, since I purchased Level 1 for a hundred bucks.

Any suggestions?

Love to All,

Dwight 1

I'm just a beginner, but I have the first two course. At least for now, you have to take the level III and IV courses from Chunyi... or maybe one of his students.

If the AD/HD is you're own condition. I would believe that almost all of the benefit you need will come in time from the level I course work. Levels II, III, IV are more directed to techniques for healing others. You of course can use them on yourself.

My advice is to stick with the level I material. I'm confident you will progress towards your goal of health.

Sending love,

Greeting Dwight 1,
I agree with Iam2, the benefit you need will come in time from the Level I course work. When I began to practice SFQ 2 1/2 years ago I was very ill, it felt like a long journey and there were times of frustration. But then it seemed as if everything changed overnight, and now I know that it was the everyday practice that added up. The best advice I can offer is practice as often as you can and as long as you can each time, the universe will take care of the rest. Read and re-read the course material, this will give you added confidence in your daily practice. Focus on the Six Keys to Success as mentioned in the Level One guide book, especially Faith and Confidence I belief they are the cornerstone to the other four. Wishing you GREAT success!!

Take it one small step at a time. Focus on Level 1 and don't think about the advance courses yet.
Put the active exercise tape on and follow Master Lin's movements. Do what you can. If you are unable to put together the breathing and movements then just breath slowly at first and follow the movement. Add in the recommended breathing technique later.
Do not put to much "expectation into result". Take your time to learn and to appreciate your own effort for the step taken.
Starting the exercise with calling the Master's energy to guide you and give thanks at the end.
Do the active exercise and meditation at seperate time if you find them hard to focus in the beginning. Don't pressure yourself to remember the active exercise steps in the beginning. Just follow the tape and do as much as your energy takes you. It will take time and it will improve.
Everyone has their own pace.

Hi Dwight

This is all good advice you're getting here. I used the video for a long time as a way of checking things out if I needed to and also to pace myself for timings of the exercise since 40 minutes was about the time I could spare. Now I use the tape mostly either one side or both and sometimes do a single exercise for 10 minutes if I'm really busy. Take you time, anything you do is positive and you will see the benefits. I feel the benefits become more obvious overall, but for me at least I do go through 'leaner' periods where it seems as if there is less benefit. This happened recently but suddenly lifted and I am finding the experience of doing SFQ exhilarating (sp?)again. I think it goes up and down as blockages dissolve and move you on towards the perfection that Iam2 is telling we already are!!

Love

Stepping in and out of Dwight's thread.

That's right Kev5. That's the new message my energy is sending out to you all. No longer just love energy, but love energy with a message that you are totally perfect.

Sending love was good, but it seems like this ia a better thing to do. I wonder what the best will be?

You are perfection,
Iam2

Thanks to everyone that replied to my post.

If I want to want to focus on certain mental and/or physical problems (I have), which meditation do I do it with or do I just do the active exercises and the meditations on disc 6 and everything will be healed? I don't know what can be healed and what can't.

On disc 6, I have been trying to concentrate on moving the energy throughout the Small Universe and the Self Meditation on the second half, what am I supposed to do? If I'm supposed to just go into the emptiness, I'm kinda foggy on exactly what I'm supposed to do or how to do it.

Sorry if I'm asking stupid questions.

Also, I would have been back to read the replies, but I didn't get any e-mail notifications. I installed Norton Internet Security 2003, the other day and it has deleted 13 e-mails so far and it doesn't tell me who they are from. &

Dwight, I may be wrong but I'd say don't concentrate on the maladies. You can think about them for a second or two, but do not dwell on the problem. If you thoughts reside on anything it should be on perfect health. Completely Healed. Chi (Qi) can work on everything in your life, physical, mental, spiritual... event the world beyond you. Chi is directed by your thoughts, hence think of the desired state as if it exists. (aside: man this is a lot like NLP... I had to say that. I've thought it many times). Since Chi directed by your thoughts you don't want to dwell on a malady, you may find yourself re-enforcing the malady. Maladies are an aboration from your natural state, and are paths you should be leaving.

In the Small Universe meditations, I would say put everything into visualizing and feeling the energy in circulation. Nothing else.

In the Self Concentration, I would say when the instructions stop you should start visualizing / experiencing the state you want . Master Lin ends the instructions with you with the absolutely healthy self-image. I would say to explore and expand the image / reality. Experience it, feel it, become it.

I hope this help. This like most of my replies is as much for me and the person(s) I'm addressing.

You are perfection,
Iam2

Thankx Iam2,

Your reply helped me understand my questions. I will dwell on Completely Healed and Perfect Health. I can start there and expand later. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Thankx and Have a Blessed Day,

Hi Dwight1,

As I understand it, going into the emptiness is where you cease to have conscious thoughts, you may start to lose or completely lose the feeling of your body and you draw yourself and all the scattered pieces of yourself back into yourself and relax and release everything. (eg. you may have had an argument with someone and find you feel aggression towards them and maybe also dismay in yourself for your own actions, in this case we need to forgive that person and your own self and release any of these negative feelings and replace them with unconditional love and kindness. You may even need to confront/apologise to people to make things right.) By doing this you allow yourself to become whole again and through the practice of meditation can achieve a sense of oneness with the universe or experience the emptiness.

I have attempted here to explain very briefly an extremely complex subject however and I hope I haven't confused the matter.

Meditation is the key to going into the emptiness and practice in this discipline will eventually bring it about.

It is the art of bypassing the brain and conscious thought so that you can feel the unity and the perfection in everything within the universe and beyond.

At first you will no doubt feel that you have even more thoughts racing through your head than before, but it is really that you are now paying attention to them. As you practice you will notice that there are gaps between your thoughts. These will eventually grow longer. This is what the emptiness feels like.

Keep at the meditations and don't worry about your thoughts, this is a natural process and takes a lot of practice to bypass. With AD/HD it may be much harder, but stick at it as I am sure the benefits will greatly improve your life.

With nearly all meditation you need a focus point to bring your attention back to centre. As Iam2 has said, focus on the visualisations and feeling the energy, when you find your thoughts drifting off simply bring your focus back again. Don't be too concerned if your mind is overly busy.

Another simple little relaxation meditation that may help, that you can do at any time of the day (don't do this at the same time as Qigong though) is this:

1) Sit in a chair with your back straight.
2) Let your eyes relax and fall down to where they feel comfortable (this is usually looking down towards ground at an angle of about 45 degrees)
3) Let your eyelids drop until they are almost closed.
4) Relax and try to clear your mind. Don't stop any thoughts that come and go, simply let them be and don't dwell on them either. You may let your eyelids close too if you wish.

Do this for about 2 minutes for a little refresher and to help calm the mind.

Hope this may help. But I have no doubt that SFQ will

Will be sending you love and energy.
