I remember reading that chi gong should not be mixed with other energy disciplines.
Would it be poss. to do 10 mins of acupressure on soles or palms on the days that I cant do chi gong for some reason or other....they are both moving energy blockages. I HAVE have good results from this since I learned it in INDIa and dont want to give it up...but I want to do Chi Gong too.
thanks.

By mixed we mean done in the same time frame. Trying to do them at the same time or as one practices.

If you leave at least 30 minutes to an hour between you can do then on the same day. If you're not doing Qigong and want to do acupressure that day I'd say go for it. You mot mixing the disciplines.

The real conflict here is the one you have about doing both which is trivial since I've encountered many qigong masters who incorporate acupressure into their teachings. A form of neigong in China consists primarily of percussive acupressure similar to EFT in the States.

But if your immediate goal is to clear out blockages in the meridians and you cannot see or feel the energy then kinesiologically test a major acupoint located on one of each of the twelve major meridians. If it tests weak, clear the blockage in that meridian by visualizing or tracing the energy backwards once to clear it out and then forwards at least three times to restore normal qi flow. This makes your qigong practice more efficient since much of the work in rectifying excessive or deficient qi has already been done.
