I have a question for all of you about progression through the system.

I believe, based on prior experience) that doing one level per year is realistic. What is your opinion of that? Too fast? Too slow?

I need to come out for seminars if I want to train in upper level materials with master Lin & senior students. Given the cost of airfare and lodging I think it's a realistic goal to work on level one for a year and then come out for a seminar on levels 1 & 2. Then the following year do a level 3 seminar and so on.

My experience doing the level one active exercises for a few weeks was that there is a lot to absorb and get good at. I also need time to 'harvest the chi' so that I truly reap the benefits.

Aloha orange_soda,

That will probably work out well for you. Master Lin does teach Level I and II back-to-back.

You can be doing your own work with the Level I active exercises while learning to do the Level II healing work on others. Doing good things for others and the healing work help you heal also, so both courses go hand in hand with each other.

You can come to a Level I/II weekend any time. It will just clarify and strengthen the work you've already begun.

I would recommend spending some time with these two levels before moving on to Level III. The same with moving into Level IV. Chunyi usually recommends 6 months. This is just a ball park figure and really needs to be based one your experience with the work and your confidence level.

Much Love, Shawn
