Six years ago I fell and hit my head and suffered a closed head injury that has left me with complex partial siezures. At one point I was having 8-12 seizures per day with no help from the antiseizure drugs. I did recieve some relief after working with acupuncture and holistic methods and now my seizure activity is about 5-8 per month. However, I still don't have my life back that I had before the injury. I was an active equesterian, pilot, high level management in a medical practice. Now I'm on disablility because I can't drive, and have to have someone with me all the time since I stop breathing during a seizures. I am constantly fighting depression and severe anxiety and at 50yrs old I am perimenopausal which adds to the mess. My seizures are hormone linked, but this it the first time in 6 years that I've even had a neurologist agree with me that the changing hormones are linked. I have gone to healers, have energy work done on me all the time. I'm even working with trying to keep my system toward the acid side since the seizure activety is less than if I'm high alkiline (which I normally am.) That brings on another concern since my mother had breast cancer and cancer cells like an acid environment. Any advice that you would like to share would be greatly appreciated. I know that I have gone through this as a great learning experience and I do bless it. I have been in service to the God of my heart since, but the seizures make things very uncomfortable not just for my self but for everyone around me. Blessings

Dear Hawk, I started having seizures in June of this year, no head trauma or known cause, and not as severe as yours. I called Master LIn and set up phone sessions. At the retreat earlier this month, I had a seizure, and Master Lin was able to see where the energy blockage was and remove it. I sometimes feel a muscle twitching or spasm, and I do small universe or the active exercises and that seems to fix things again. I can't tell from your post if you practice Qigong or not. If this is new to you, it sounds impossible. But Qigong has changed my life. More than I want to express in this post. I would urge you try it. The time commitment seems overwhelming at first, but it's worth it. Peace, rj

Dear RJ, Thank you so much for your reply. No, I do not practice Qigong. I read your reply regarding the bouncing exercise. Is that used for anything specific or is it an exercise that I can start with? Do you know of any exercises for anxiety or seizures or do you do any remote healings? I am very interested in any thing that will help me and very open to receiving information. Blessings, Hawk

Hi Hawk, I would suggest you order the level 1 course from Learning Strategies to get started with the exercises. The course includes audio tapes and dvd's, so you get a lot of information. If you are interested in phone healing sessions, contact bornahealer.com, and schedule sessions with Master Lin. It helped me. Even if it doesn't get rid of the seizures, there are many other benefits in terms of stress reduction and help with the depression. Good luck, RJ

Check for: 1.) Low blood sugar levels (Hypoglycemia) 2.) Food Allergies - can cause Hypoglycemia 3.) Nutrition deficiencies caused by Food Allergies/other. Check specifically for Magnesium, Calcium, Manganese. 4.) If you are alkaline, have 2tsp Apple cider vinegar in an 8 oz glass of water - Also great for digestion, stomach upsets, discomfort with what you ate, etc. 5.) Balance is the key - Too much of ANYTHING may trigger seizures. 6.) Meditation and breathing exercises really help. 7.) Practice living with: a.) Gratitude for the past. (At night, go thru' the day & give thanks, in great detail for everything you can think of - being healthy today, car worked fine, people helping, the great weather, the beauty of nature - be specific the flowers you saw, the beautiful shimmering lake ....) b.) Contentment with the present. (Deep breathe & heighten awareness of everything you do in the moment) c.) Excitement & wonder for the future. Set & review even small goals (and big ones)morning before getting out of bed & at night).
