Shawn you posted in 2000 that
Chunyi Lin highly recommends Tai Chi, especially as you advance with Qigong where you do more Sitting Meditation and less Active Exercise.

Are you saying that he prefers you to do Tai Chi rather than continue with level 1 active exercise?
thanks

Aloha snake,

Nope.

The tai chi recomendation is to ballance the passive with more movement and exercise for the body. Chunyi actually practices a very active, sort of "tai chi kung fu" for this.

The physical active exercises in level one are more specific to healing, you'd continue with those if your need to work through some ilnesses or pain. You'll find Chunyi using them to prelude a morning meditation in a level III and IV retreat as well. They are simple, but very powerful.

If you've made a difference in your physical issues or ilness, you'll want to start looking to something more physical to ballance and strengthen the cardiovascular part of your system. Tai chi, depending on its form is a way to work toward that. Of course, so is swimming, walking, broomball, etc.

Much Love, Shawn

Likewise, Snake, same request. It would be wonderful for the UK to benefit from Master Lin directly.

With thanks

Hi Snake,

Agree absolutely with your sentiments re Master Lin and UK. I would love to progress through levels 3 & 4, but my small fixed income means there is no likelihood of getting to Minnesota to do so.
Are there enough of us SFQ'ers in UK to justify the expense of setting up a visit by Master Lin or even a teaching centre?
Anyone out there with thoughts on the subject?
Love and light
Faune

I supect the real issue is whether Chunyi wants to use time and energy in travelling to the UK. I'd love to see him here too, but I notice from posts and LSC information over the years that he is very focused on fulfilling his healing mission in the way that he sees it. I believe he resisted for example becoming involved in an LSC Feng Shui course when invited because of his healing mission.

But it is worth asking Shawn if he believes there is any chance of a UK visit. What do you think Shawn, if you're still tuned in to this thread?

Love Kev
