Forums IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ Spring Forest Qigong dan tien seems to be spinning erratically

I'm new to practicing, and am noticing that my dan tien instead of spinning like a clock on the front of my body, spins on the horizontal plane, then it might suddenly change direction or just go from side to side.
- then sometimes it goes all over the place like piece of popcorn in a popcorn machine. So I figure I might be doing somthing wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

Hmmmm. Interesting. Does it do it all on its own or are you making it to do so? Can you make it spin clockwise constantly? What is the feeling you have when it spins clockwise and when it pops around? I would imagine it would feel slightly unpleasant when it pops around.

Your experience is your own experience and nobody else's. The answers, whatever tehy are, are inside you.

I don't think you are doing anything worng. Things just happen to be that way. The best answer I can give you is, the whole exeprience is telling you something very important about youself. Be gentle to it.

oxygen: I'm not trying to make it spin, it seems to be doing it all on its own, but when I concentrate on it it makes my body begin to spin physically too. It's not really uncomfortable at all. Thanks for the advice though - I guess I'll just keep observing it.

Could it be that your dantien is so happy it's jumping around just out of sheer excitement and joy?

Have you tried gently maintaining a vision of your dantian spinning clockwise regardless of what pops into your mind?

ha ha yeah it does kind of feel joyful!
